LEGAL
Please understand, to us the home is a piece of art. It was designed by architect and father, Heinz Brummel,
at the allowable standards of the time. We don't want to alter it. Some decks are open and have no railings, with no balusters. The decks and our shoreline can be quite slippery at times, so being able footed is a must!
Please review all the images here on this site or request a personal walk through.
If you would not feel comfortable traversing our decks, stairs and or rock shoreline,
we sadly suggest you look elsewhere for your stay.
If you find this place acceptable for your needs, we will ask you to sign a waiver relinquishing us from any
potential injuries due to falls or mishaps. We will email you a PDF of the document under separate cover.
We don't want this to be a legal issue in our offer to you, however
we want to protect what we have in any unforeseen circumstances.
GREAT ROOM
Since the Great Room houses only six comfortably, we are maximizing the occupancy of the Haus to six.

Every bed area has their own reading lamp with USB charging stations.
All bedrooms have open closets and drawers for your belongings.

Ceramic Top Stove and Oven, Microwave above the Frigerator and a Keurig Coffeemaker.

Lastly, there are two Weber grills if you want to grill. Utensils are hanging in the Blue Mudroom.
Groceries, either at Bley's in Jacksonport or Foodland in Valmy, are just 10 minutes away.
Bley's prepares the best steaks, hamburger meat and brats around and Foodland prepares the best pizzas!
Both stores carry a nice variety of wine and liquor too. Sister Bay and Sturgeon Bay offer larger grocery stores.
THIRD FLOOR STUDIO
The third level of the cottage has a steep ship's ladder ( see image ) access with no hand rail but a
guide rope to assist in the descent. One must be careful bringing anything up or down to this location!
With a massive work table just placed in front of the lake side window, this beautiful space is great for any
type of sewing or writing project.
A yoga mat and ball as well as a monitor for you to hook up to are located here for your use.
We suggest you slightly open the screen door here to nicely ventilate the entire cottage.
But, please don't forget to close it, as well as all the other screen doors in the house when it rains.

Our neighbors across the street, share an easement with us - primarily for access to the water.
Should you see a couple and their dog walking thru the drive north of the cottage - don't be alarmed.
Lastly, maximum occupancy for the cottage is six. We'll allow a single tent if you desire to sleep outside

GREAT ROOM
Overlooking both dining and kitchen areas, the great room is an amazingly bright and inviting place the entire day.
Its large windows offer incredible views of an incoming lake storm or a morning sunrise all while overlooking a fantastic rock shoreline.
Uniquely, one of these large rocks, provides the foundation and base for the room's featured corner fireplace.
This room will house six adults comfortably.
Sunrise View from Door County Lake Haus
Relax as a group or in complete privacy. There are six unique decks on three different levels,
allowing one the ability to follow the sun's daily path, shelter from lake winds or even escape from each other.
Built just feet from the Lake Michigan shoreline, this Haus does come with some imperfections as it has weathered many a storm off the lake. But with amazing water views in all directions, captivating sunrises and sunsets, it offers amazing peace and tranquility.
We are conveniently located right in the center of the Peninsula, on the quiet Lake Michigan side, just a mile from Cave Point.

SLEEPING
One of our father's design mantras was to keep sleeping rooms for sleep - and not lounging! A design to beckon one to - wake early, sit in the Great Room, be amongst others, or reside privately on one of his many decks!
The master area is a loft overlooking the Great Room. It has king sized bed flanked by two sun decks. A small
A half bath rests just outside this room to serve both the master and the adjacent 'yellow' bunk bedroom.
The main level bedroom features two built-in twin beds.
While the many decks can offer fantastic sunrises and sunsets, the 200 feet of rock shoreline and ledges can offer even more peace and respit options. Our two kayaks, canoe and fire pit can link you even closer to the shore.
